MUSTANG RIDGE CAMPGROUND
At 6300' and on the shore of the Flaming Gorge Reservoir, this area is representative of a high desert community. Typical weather ranges from warm days to cool nights. The campground area offers a boat ramp, restrooms, potable water, and an ADA accessible restroom with flush toilets and showers. An amphitheater with bleachers and screen support is used for interpretive programs. No lifeguards on duty. Vehicles towed to the sites are not considered additional vehicles. A boat is not considered an extra vehicle even if it is used for sleeping. Services in the area include: Cedar Springs Marina 435-889-3795 - boat rental, gas, slips, licenses, tackles, and guided fishing and tours. Flaming Gorge Visitior Center 435-885-3135 - visitor information, golden passports, and pay telephone. Take US 191 from Vernal, Utah, 51 miles north. Three miles north ofDutch John on US 191 turn west on Forest Road 184 for approximately 2miles. Follow signs,
Important Information: This campground has first-come, first-served sites.Excluded from this fee are boats, trailers, or any other vehicle towedto the campsite. All vehicles must fit on the designated parking spur.No refunds for bad weather. No lifeguards.This campground is located in the Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area(FGNRA) on the Ashley National Forest.Those desiring to use facilities outside the campground will need topurchase a Rec Fee Demo Pass from camp hosts, local businesses, visitorscenter, or the Forest Service.A pass can be purchased from the campground manager.The benefit of this program is that all fees collected remainon that district for improvement and maintenance. A daily pass is $2,a 16 day pass is $5, and an annual(1 year) pass is $20. The holder ofa Golden Passport or National Park Pass with hologram sticker will notbe required to purchase a recreation fee pass if displayed on the dashof the vehicle.This campground is ont available for group camping over 10 people.Nearbygroup sites are located at Antelope Flat and Dripping Springs.Potable water is available from mid-late May to mid-late September.NOTICE: As of 2004, the vehicle policy is changed. No more than 2 vehicles
will be allowed on a single site. No exceptions.All equipment must fit on the site pad. Vehicles must park in developedareas only.
